I went to this concert and was standing right at the front of the line. She was actually really sad. She was on the verge of tears lol
When the bus finally pulled up to the gates of Flog Gnaw, I was excited as fuck. I’ve been waiting for ages to come back home. Well, my actual home is in L.A, but Flog Gnaw is my real home. I have been going to camp here since I was 8. I met my boyfriend, Sam, here at Flag Gnaw. I feel…
I can’t finish the chapter to Sharing Frank tonight because it’s bed time buuutt it’s just about finished. Just need to add a few things and edit. It’ll be up tmrw….before or after work. In the meantime, leave feedback for Don’t Come Back To Us.
“I have a question.” She said lowly.
“Okay, what is it?” I asked her.
“How come you never visited me in jail, to let me know how Carol was doing? Don’t you think I deserved that?” Hm, I didn’t expect that. I mean I did, but not now.
“Uh, nah actually.” I answered truthfully. “I didn’t think you deserved to see her, hear about her or anything at that time. I was pissed as fuck. I almost beat your ass that day, but I didn’t cause I didn’t want to leave her with two locked up parents.” Her expression read shock, then her mouth opened slightly, indicating she wanted to say something so I let her talk.
“But still, she’s my daughter too Tyler.” She said.
“Obviously. I just didn’t feel that way then. You have to understand, I was pissed off. You left me to raise her on my own. I-”
“I didn’t ‘leave you to raise her on your own’.” She said, her teeth slightly clenched.
I ignored her. She did leave me with all the responsibility. “Anyway, the way I was feeling, of course I didn’t want to see the person who caused it. And, as bad as it sounds, I wanted you to suffer and feel pain that I felt.” I said.
“Ever heard of Matthew 5:38??”She asked. I rolled my eyes and scoffed. She knew I didn’t fuck with the bible unlike her Catholic school girl ass.
“ANYWAY.” I said for the 2nd time. “That’s just how I felt at the time. I’m glad you’re back, next subject.” I said dropping it before it started unwanted drama.
“Well, I have another question; how did you manage to take care of Carol? No offense, you couldn’t even take care of yourself.” I said. I’m not just talking about immaturity, but he barely had any money. He slept on his grandmother’s couch for goodness sake. So how he managed to take care of her surprises me. With him being at that age and in that position, there was a high percentage of adoption.
“My boys helped me. They all pitched in whenever they could. Mainly Taco and Hodgy. I hustled a little bit. Not like, drugs, but I sold shit. Valuable shit at that. I had to give up my original Pharrell posters and CD’s. That shit had me fucked up for a minute. “He paused, and looked like he was about to cry. ”I made a lot of money off them though on E-Bay. I worked for a little bit…then I got famous. But even when I started making money it wasn’t easy. I had to do interviews and tours and shit. I didn’t like bringing her along with me. I thought she was too young. But we had to eat, ya know?” He stopped again. He looked like he was reminiscing. “When she started getting older she always asked why she didn’t have a mom. It used to hurt me watching Clancy and Kelly play with Chloe, and see the love Kelly had for Chloe and vice versa. I wished Carol had that.” It was silent for a second. Kind of awkward.
“You’re a damn good dad.” She said.
“I try to be.”I said. I leaned over and kissed her forehead.
“So how’d you even become famous?” She asked.
“Long story short, I ate a roach in a music video and people liked it. Some how Kanye got a hold of it and well, here I am.”
“Interesting.” She said.
“Yea it’s whatever though. I’m going to sleep though. And you should too. We’re going to start planning the tour early in the morning and I want you to come. It’ll be like a day in the life of Tyler.” I said. “Oh gee, I’m so honored.” She said flatly. I snickered and kissed her lips. Man she had the best lips. Now that she was mine, and was most likely going to be mine forever I had to make sure she could handle this life. I could barely even handle it. She would always go on tour with me, only cause I didn’t want to be away from her. So she better start getting used to it early damn it.
I was woken up by my body being shaken lightly. It obviously wasn’t Carol, the force was too strong. “What?” I grumbled crankily. I rubbed my eyes opened and saw a stressed out looking Caroline. “What the fuck? I thought you were a dude. You been lifting weights in prison?” I said all too serious.
“Shut up Tyler. I broke it off.” She said. I sat for a second until it clicked. She was talking about ol’ dude.
I sat up with a whole new surge of energy. “What you say to him?” I asked, a little too excitedly.
“I saaaiiidd,” She sung out for no reason, you know how girls are. “Basically that we shouldn’t talk anymore because I was working on my family. Then I blocked and deleted his number before he could respond.” I said. I let out a loud obnoxious laugh that probably woke Carol up.
“This isn’t funny. I actually feel bad.” She whined. I shrugged my shoulders. He looked like a faggot anyway.
“You’ll be aight.” I said. ”I guess we should start getting ready.” I said. I hopped in the shower and got dressed in the usual, and then woke Carol up to get her dressed in a dress and some Vans. I thought she looked extremely cute, and so did Caroline because I got an approved look from her. “Do her hair, mom!” I called out to her.
“Make breakfast, dad!” She responded.
I pretty much left Carol’s hair the way it was, curly and messy. It looks okay with what she got on, especially since we aren’t going anywhere special. I put a ponytail holder on my wrist though just in case. After we brushed our teeth I sent her downstairs to eat. I quickly got in the shower and got dressed. I threw on a printed button up and some cut off shorts. I put on socks and my Nike Janoskis. I went down in the kitchen where Carol and Tyler were drinking chocolate milk. I grabbed a granola bar while they finished their breakfast of waffle crisps, of course.
After we figured out the tour dates, which we’re leaving for in a few weeks, we headed down to the studio. Tyler told me he was working on his new album, WOLF I believe it’s called. Hence the tour. “Daddy why do we have to go to the studio? I hate going there.” Carol whined.
“Because I said.” He said cutting the conversation with her short.
“Why can’t mommy and I go somewhere fun? Like princess store?” She whined again.
“Because. Maybe we’ll go some where fun after this.” He said.
“Ok daddy.” She said in the sweetest little voice. I smiled at her. Tyler grabbed my hand and squeezed it a little. I turned to smile at him. We got out the car moments later and walked into the studio. I didn’t really want to be here either, I’d rather be at the beach or something but whatever. “When is this day in the life of going to get fun?” I asked him.
“Work isn’t fun.” He mumbled as he did something on the computer.
“OH! Speaking of work, I want to start making my own money. But, I’m kind of limited with that stuff on my record. Can I work at your store? I can like sweep and clean and stuff.” I rambled. I have been meaning to ask him, but I was afraid he would say no. He laughed and looked at me.
“Cleaning floors? Really?” He said. I nodded.
“Bathrooms too.” I said. He laughed again.
“I’m not going to have my girlfriend cleaning bathrooms. You can be a cashier with Sara or something. Or maybe you can run the online shop. I don’t know. I kind of don’t want you working, I got you. You held me down all that time we were friends, so I can hold you down now. I can afford it.” He said. He must of got the hint that I really wanted to because of my face because he said “But if you really want to I can figure something out.”
“I do.” I said. I didn’t want to keep freeloading off him and my parents. I wanted to work for stuff on my own. Yea it isn’t brain surgeon money, but it’s money. I got sad at the thought of me never being able to be a brain surgeon.
“Alright. I’ll look at some stuff later and see what you can do.” He said looking back at the screen. He clicked a button and a song with a crazy beat started playing. I bobbed my head a little as the song blared out.
“Papa ain’t called even though he saw me on t.v it’s all good. Fuck you.
But now my balls balls deep in this broads jaw, swallow girl it’s just nut. Haha.”
He turned it down and started doing random stuff on the computer.
“So, beach for a picnic after this?” I asked him..
“Yea yea yea!” Carol screamed excitedly.
“Yea that’s cool, let me text the boys and let them know.” He said. I thought he was joking until he pulled his phone out.
“What?? No. Just us 3.” I said. Wasn’t that obvious?
“Oh, okay. Right. Sorry.” He said. What an awkward boy.
